Interview with Melinda Szemerey (November 2007)

To add a bit more to the story of how the Hungarian Festival happened, we decided to conduct
an interview with Melinda, who was the coordinator for this event. As with all people, who feel
a connection with the crystal skulls, each person has their own story and a precise time when
they decide to be more intricately involved with these crystal friends. So lets listen to what
Melinda has to share with us ...

Melinda can you share a bit about your background?

Melinda: I am an experienced Feng Shui consultant, author, & instructor and have studied this design science intensively with recognized Masters.  I have appeared on a number of television shows (in Hungary) and have just published a new book about feng shui. Additionally, I am the chairwoman for the Hungarian Feng Shui Association and the chief editor of “Feng Shui Magazine”
in Hungary. I teacher and lecture about the prosperity and health attributes of feng shui.

I also work as an aromatherapist and I am very passionately spreading love and peace in the world as best I can through my activities. Personal growth has played a very significant part in my life for many years leading me to develop as an intuitive healer and a strong interest to explore and research vibrational medicine.

How did you hear about the crystal skulls?

Melinda: I heard about the crystal skulls 7 years ago when I read a book called, "The message of the Cystal Skulls",but it did not affect me deeply at that time.  However, last year, a man showed me this book again and I felt a sudden desire to meet the crystal skulls immediately!!

Next, I started to search upon the internet and the first thing I discovered was a website where they were announcing the results of a Crystal Skull Festival which just took place in Holland . I immediately contacted the coordinators of this event and I heard back from Joshua Shapiro.  I felt it was important to bring (the information and energy) of the crystal skulls to Hungary (so we first arranged for Joshua and his partner Blue Arrow Rainbow to come to Hungary this April – 2007).

Have you seen any of the older Crystal Skulls in the world? 

Melinda: After my contact with Joshua, I scheduled a few trips, to visit two of the crystal skulls
on display in Europe.  So in a short time (2 months), I went to Paris and London where I saw
both crystal skulls (the ParisCrystal Skull and the BritishMuseumCrystal Skull).

Why offer a festival about crystal skulls in Hungary?

Melinda: I felt that Hungary is very open towards the (energy of the) crystal skulls. Also I know that Hungary is situated in the heart chakra of the world and I felt that from here, the skulls will
be able to touch not only the hearts of the Hungarian people but also the whole humanity from this Earth, in order to radiate peace and love all over the world.

What were your expectations for this first Festival in Hungary?

Melinda: I planned to reach as many people as I could, thus we felt fortunate that the festival became much larger than I had ever dreamed. We expected around two to three hundred people but in the end, we had more than double of this number!

And what about the large group of volunteers you had to help you, where did all of these people come from?

Melinda: During the setting up of the Festival, I met a lot of (people who wanted to be) volunteers, some who I did not even know before. And all of these special people came to assist happily and with opened hearts as none were payed for their time (although all were able to attend the Festival for free and did get to meet the speakers a day earlier with their skulls).

What do the Crystal Skulls mean for you?

Melinda: The crystal skulls are one of the greatest “Gifts” that Humanity has upon this planet. We have to be grateful to the Universe that we, (who are caretakers of these special crystal friends)  are able to share their wisdom with others. Now-a-days people have achieved all kinds of satisfactions in their life with material luxuries, but still, all over the world there is lack of “Love”. The crystal skulls teach us how to be closer to our soul and to radiate love and peace instead of hate and war.

Do you have any crystal skulls yourself?

Melinda: I have 7 crystal skulls, which I have obtained in the last few months and I am extremely happy with them.

Did anything interesting occur after the Festival was concluded?

Melinda: After the festival there have been so many wonderful things which happened. For example, there is a new crystal cave in Budapest that has just been found in Buda mountains. These mountains are in the heart of the city where there are a lot of precious crystals. So a research will start now but nobody knows how old these crystals can be. There is some evidence that the crystals date back more then a thousand years.  We received many positive reports from the participants of the Festival, how much they enjoyed it and how the contact with the crystal skulls changed their lives.  These facts clearly show that Hungary has become more open towards the crystal energies and this is a perfect place from where we can start spreading out love and light towards all beings in this world.
